Survey gives government a public health warning-Doolan

Sinn Féin's Dublin South East Representative, Councillor Daithí Doolan, said today's results of a healthcare survey in Dublin South East, "have given the government a public health warning."
Speaking in Rathmines, Cllr. Doolan said:
"The survey carried out in May and June across Dublin South East gave the clearest indication yet that the public are sick of Harney's second rate healthcare system. Most of those questioned, 95%, said they would support quality free healthcare for all. This totally undermines the PDs attempts to privatise our healthcare system. "
Cllr. Doolan explains, "With 89% of the 1000 households surveyed blaming the government for the current healthcare crisis, the results clearly indicates that the level of anger the public have for Harney and company. Public funding was also high on people's agenda with 91% of the public wanting to increase public funding for more hospital beds and staff.
Health care reform has become a major issue for the public. I have met with trade unions, GPs and residents groups to listen and to work with them to ensure health reform remains a priority. Sinn Féin is committed to introducing those reforms which will guarantee cradle to the grave quality free health care."
In conclusion Cllr. Doolan, demanded Harney, "to stop her drive towards privatisation of our health needs. If she doesn't, according to today's poll, the government will pay a heavy price at the next election."
