Palestinian Ambassador addresses Dublin City Council

Sinn Féin Dublin City Councillor, Daithí Doolan, following a meeting with the Palestinian Ambassador, has today demanded, "the Irish Government call on the United Nations to fully engage with the crisis in Gaza and stop allowing itself be held to ransom by Israeli terrorism."

The all-party meeting with the Palestinian Ambassador took place in City Hall this morning

Cllr. Doolan explained, "Both the Lord Mayor and City Councillors heard this morning first hand accounts of the atrocities being committed by Israeli forces in Gaza."

"All political parties must now stand in defence of the Palestinian people's right to exist in peace with their neighbours. There can no longer be excuses; the United Nations must take immediate action.

In conclusion Cllr. Doolan said, "We will taking a very clear message to the meeting with Israeli Ambassador on Friday, your war crimes must stop immediately." ENDS
