Constituency
The Dublin South East Constituency is represented in the Dáil and includes areas such as Ringsend, Pearse Street, Irishtown, Ranelagh, Rathmines and the South Inner City including St. Stephen's Green, Grafton Street and Temple Bar. The constituency has a number of notable differences when compared to the State as a whole. By Geographical size, it is the smallest constituency in the 26 counties. The proportion of the population of Dublin South East aged between 20 and 39 years is much greater than the national average while in terms of religion, nationality and ethnicity the constituency is more diverse than the State as a whole. The proportion of households in Dublin South East that rent their accommodation is also much higher than the national average. |
